Once again I found myself swamped with work causing the now familiar last minute rush to check the race car over before departing to Donnington. Getting the car ready for the first race was not quite the last minute flurry of panicked activity it usually is. Largely because the re-fit and re-furb were kept to a minimum following complete strip re-build plans shot to pieces by tradesmen being somewhat hard to pin down to get very necessary domestic work done.

Most importantly the doors and windows in the garage. The special concertina type front doors have been falling slowly decaying over the past few years....

Oulton Park Race Report

The long wait for the start of the 2011 Super Mighty Minis Championship ended when the Oulton Park Paddock came alive with the rumble of Mini engines as the hazy April morning Sun slowly climbed in the sky.

Brands Hatch Hoorah

Rounds 3 & 4 at Brands Hatch Mini Festival were almost 3 weeks ago but nevertheless I'll get typing and give a quick preview for this weekend's event at Cadwell Park. The weather was a bit of a mixed bag at Brands Hatch and I have to admit, the wind is not my favourite, especially when there are gazebo's in question! We didn't sail off into the distance so that's good but we did come away with some good learning outcomes, best quali position and good points in the bag.

Oulton Park - 2014

Championship moved back to the UK, and more reasonable temperatures to be strapped in to a tin can, for rounds 7 & 8 on the International circuit at Oulton Park.

Historical Article - Nov 1991 - Twini Mini

The front brakes are standard Cooper 'S' 71/2" variety with the standard drums on the rear, with the assistance of a servo the rear regulator valve has been left out of the system and the brakes work very well. As the weight of the second engine amounts to the equivalent of two 11 1/2 stone passengers. Rear cooling is taken care of using a 1300 radiator mounted in the standard position. The heater take offs are connected to a 19 row oil cooler.
